Children’s literature, and the spread of the English language in 19th c. Ireland
George Connolly published a number of children’s books in Galway at the start of the nineteenth century. These were a mixture of the recreational and educational. How does the Galway market fit into the larger context of the book trade in Ireland immediately after the Act of Union. Listen to the podcast here.
